Pink Sony Z-1000 Walkman hits the FCC

A few months ago we got a glimpse of the Sony Walkman Z, which was slated for Japan only. Many of us have been looking forward to Sony’s upcoming Walkman device. It seems now there is no need to wait any more. According to Ubergizmo the NW-Z1000 recently passed through FCC and should arrive to the US pretty soon. Is this the Sony’s answer to the iPod touch? However, let’s go on.

The Sony NW-Z1000 Walkman is an Android powered device, which realizes many functions except regular phone calls and texting.
The Sony NW-Z1000 comes to amaze the world with a 4.3-inch WVGA display with 800 x 480 pixel resolutions and NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor with 512MB of RAM. This Walkman Mobile Entertainment Player runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, features WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The 16, 32 and 64GB versions of the pink Sony NW-Z1000 will be available. As for its price in the US, unfortunately there is no info. But in Japan the price for the 16GB version is $360, while the 32GB version costs $420.
