Nokia has posted a video ad of the pink Nokia Lumia 800 in its UK YouTube account. The video seems pretty targeted ladies and women.
Some of you may think the owners of pink phones are mainly the teenage young ladies. But when watching the commercial you will see only women enjoying the pink Nokia Lumia 800. What do you think isn’t there a guy in the UK who would be excited about the pink Lumia 800? And even if there is one, after watching the video he will not have the wish to buy one since the commercial introduces the pink Lumia 800 is made for female part only.

The same was with the popular HTC Rhyme. The purple color of this pretty solid smartphone and its chain made everybody think the device has been announced for women. Many of the smartphone fans expressed their point of view saying the Rhyme is not for women only. Buy what would you think when seeing the Verizon’s ad for the Rhyme? It shows a six armed lady pulling out the HTC Rhyme and its other accessories from her purse.

People use their smartphones for different cases; some need a smartphone only for calls, come just want to stand out in the crowd with the stylish device, the others need it for updating Facebook every five second.
So gender makes no difference as all of them do the same thing. But there is a part of female users who want to pamper up them with something glamy. May be this is the reason the manufacturers continue releasing glamorous and fashionable smartphones. After all this is another way to add the number of their consumers.
When the manufacturers start marketing directly to a certain gender, they immediately force only that special part to pick up one.
