Canon has officially announced compact cameras named the Canon Ixus 510 HS and the Canon Ixus 240 HS. These point-and-shoot cameras come with touch display and fusing design, they are highly- pocketable, luxurious and stylish.
The pink Canon Ixus 510 HS and 240 HS cameras feature 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS with 10.1MP and 16.1MP. The Ixus 510 HS is packed with a 12x optical zoom, 28-336 mm focal length (35mm equivalent) and can store up photos on MicroSD / MicroSDHC / MicroSDXC memory card.
It dimensions are 86 x 54 x 20 mm and weight is 163 grams.
As for the pink Ixus 240 HS it has a 5x optical zoom lens (24-120 mm) and a SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slots. Its weight is about 145 grams and dimensions are 94 x 57 x 21 mm.
Both of the cameras feature a 3.2-inch PureColor II Touch LCD touch display, 3.5-stop optical Image Stabilizer, Intelligent IS, Wi-Fi and HDMI output. It also enables Full HD video recording at 24 frames per second.
As for the availability and price, the Canon Ixus 240 HS will be available in March at €320($420) while the Canon Ixus 510 HS will go on sale in April at €400($530).
